On April 22–23, 2024, Saint Petersburg State Economic University opened its doors to representatives of the actuarial community, financiers from leading insurance and auditing companies. The Guild of Professional Actuaries held a Spring Actuarial School, the main topic of which was the practical application of IFRS 17.
The goal of the actuarial school is to exchange experiences, enhance the qualifications and competencies of practicing actuaries, representatives of insurance and financial organizations, as well as to provide professional orientation for students in relevant fields.
Within the framework of the school, Syncretis presented a report on the topic: «Calculating the Expected Deficit of a Reinsurer (EDR) using the MathSync software». This platform is designed for stochastic modeling of economic and financial processes and is a key tool for introducing a risk-oriented approach to managing an insurance company, providing reliable financial planning and risk forecasting.
We express our gratitude to the Guild of Professional Actuaries and the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics for organizing the event, which brought together representatives of science and business to search for practical solutions aimed at the successful development of Russia’s financial market.
